WHAT TO EXPECT AT MASS
Whether you are Catholic, returning to the Church, visiting with family, or attending Mass for the first time, you are warmly welcome at St. John the Baptist.
When you arrive, feel free to sit anywhere in the church. If you need assistance, one of our ushers will be happy to help you. Our celebration of the Mass includes Scripture readings, prayers, a homily, and the celebration of the Eucharist. You are welcome to participate as fully as you feel comfortable.
If you are unfamiliar with when to sit, stand, or kneel, simply follow along with the congregation.
Come as you are. You are welcome here, and we hope you will join us again.
Receiving Holy Communion
During Holy Communion, Catholics who are properly prepared may come forward to receive the Eucharist. If you are not Catholic or are not receiving Communion, you are welcome to remain seated and pray or come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing.
