OCIA Registration Is Now Closed

Registration for the 2026–2027 OCIA program has ended. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in becoming Catholic or completing your Sacraments of First Holy Communion or Confirmation. We would be happy to guide you in taking the next step in your faith journey.


  • Who Can Participate?

    Adults


    OCIA welcomes adults age 18 and older who:


    • Have never been baptized

    • Were baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to become Catholic

    • Were baptized Catholic but have not received First Holy Communion or Confirmation

    • Are fully initiated Catholics seeking a deeper understanding of their faith

    • Simply want to learn more about Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church


    Children


    Children age seven and older who have not been baptized may participate through an OCIA process designed especially for children. Please contact the Parish Office for more information.

  • What is OCIA?

    OCIA is the process through which individuals prepare to become members of the Catholic Church.


    Through prayer, Scripture, discussion, and faith formation, participants grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ while learning about Catholic beliefs, traditions, worship, and the sacraments.


    OCIA is more than a class. It is an invitation to encounter Jesus Christ and become part of a loving faith community.

  • Is OCIA right for you?

     OCIA may be right for you if you have questions such as:


    • Am I thinking about becoming Catholic?

    • What does the Catholic Church believe?

    • How can I grow closer to God?

    • How can I receive Baptism, Confirmation, or the Holy Eucharist?

    • I was baptized Catholic but never completed my sacraments. What should I do?

    • I have been away from the Church and would like to come home.

Begin your OCIA Journey

Are you ready to take the next step? Beginning the OCIA process is simple



  1. Complete the OCIA Registration Form
  2. Meet with the OCIA Coordinator for a personal interview
  3. Submit the required documents

  • Registrations Requirements

    Those wishing to begin the OCIA process will need to:


    •  Complete the OCIA Registration Form
    • Meet with the OCIA Coordinator, Dave Meszaros, for a personal interview
    • Submit all applicable documents

  • Documents for Adults

    Adult participants may be asked to provide:


    • Completed OCIA Registration Form
    • Sponsor Information Form
    • Required sponsor information or documentation
    • Copy of Birth Certificate, if applicable

    Additional documents may be requested depending on which sacraments the participant has already received.

  • Sponsor Information

    An OCIA sponsor accompanies and supports the participant throughout the journey of faith.


    Please contact the OCIA Coordinator for assistance with choosing a sponsor and completing the Sponsor Information Form.
