Thursday, July 26, 2007 ![]() Prymer Summer 2007 Prymer Teen Ministry has had a great Summer season to close up our Prymer year. Last July 15th we hooked up with Holy Spirit Parish in the Almaden Valley for Mass on the Beach. We decided that it'd be great to have a Beach day and Mass on the Beach together at Seacliff in Aptos, Ca. So Fr. Brenden McGuire celebrated the mass while the teens served as the ministers. Our youth choir, Jericho Music Ministry served as the music for the mass. The mass itself was advertised to the different parishes that attended the Diocesan Tahoe retreat last June. About 100 people came out for mass and the bonus was that people who had been spectators on the pier joined us to celebrate Eucharist after invitations to do so. There were about 10-12 parishes in attendance. St. John's Prymer had the largest contingent with about 32 teens and young adults present. It was very nice to celebrate mass while the sun set over the ocean in the distance. Our 2nd successful event last week was our annual Great America trip. We had 29 young people attend this great fellowship trip as we made our way throughout the park. At one point, we all sat to watch the karaoke show and 3 of our teens went up to sing. While Allison Rondez and Lea Bolosan sang, our teens cheered for them and sang with them. The host was amazed by the crowd participation that she asked if we were a choir. All-in-all it was a fantastic week for Prymer as we came together to worship and fellowship. In both instances they represented St. John the Baptist parish well to the other parishes as well as the greater community. Friday, June 29, 2007 Friday, June 15, 2007

Everything is possible even for the Golden State Warriors who made the playoffs after a 13-year playoff drought. Even more unlikely was for them to beat the reigning Western Conference champions in the Dallas Mavericks. To catch the fever, we've posted a Warriors themed banner at the top, like Warriors fans, we believe...but in something more consistent, the real champion..our loving God! We truly believe. archives
