Eucharistic Ministry

Mission

Our Mission

We the community of St. John the Baptist Parish, joined by faith in Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic Church, are committed to serve the Eucharist to all people with respect, integrity, and humility. To help each community member grow in understanding of the Eucharist. To transform the Eucharist to a community of faith.

To Live it out in following Jesus Christ in words and deed so that we can be more effective witnesses of Jesus Christ to the people of the community.
Expectations Attend yearly workshop, training and commissioned in our parish.

- Arrive on time on assigned day to prepare for mass.
- Dress appropriately for all masses.
- Call the team leader if unable to attend the assigned mass as well as a commissioned replacement so that proper adjustments can be made to the schedule.
- Open to serve in any Mass when needed.
- Open to serve both wine and host.
- Serve one ministry per liturgy. The only exception to serve in two ministries is when the other ministry is in need of help.
- Able to sign up for one Saturday Mass and one Sunday Mass but no more than two on the same day.

If we fail to honor our commitment as a Eucharistic Minister at any/all scheduled services, such failure is considered and abandonment of our post.
