Reconciliation
Confession, Penance, or Reconciliation is the sacrament by which our sins are absolved by the action of the priest when we humbly and honestly confess our sins. Jesus gave this ability to priests when he told his disciples:

“Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them and whose sins you retain they are retained.”

The priest represents not only Jesus but also the community. When we sin we affect no only our relationship with God but also our relationship with one another. We are asked to make an act of contrition, to resolve not to sin in the future and to avoid whatever leads us to sin.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated on Saturdays from 4:00pm to 4:45pm.  If requested, appointments are also available by calling: (408) 262-2546
