CONFIRMATION RETREAT ON ITS WAY

 The upcoming 2008 Confirmation Candidates will be on there way to a 3 day Retreat in Scotts Valley, California on May 9, 10 and 11th next week. 39 Candidates have made it so far through the 10 month program at St. John the Baptist Church. The deciding factor will be during the retreat where a deep intense encounter with their convictions and journey in faith will be tested. We ask prayers from our community for these candidates and the team leaders as well in this endeavor. Last Saturday, April 26th was a kick-off retreat day where they spent 6 hours at the Pavalkis Hall learning about the face of God within us and the face we project.

With 39 candidates comes along with alot of support from the parents, their sponsors and friends whom also within this journey needs the prayers from all of us. Becoming CONFIRMED is not just a 10 month program but a lifetime journey ahead. What's more important is after Confirmation and their convictions being put into action. The support of the parents and sponsors will continue to nourish the ongoing journey in fulfilling their faith more so after Confirmation, with God's blessings.

 Therefore, we ask prayers and encouragement from our community of believers at St. John the Baptist when you see any young person wearing their Confirmation T-shirt to give them a smile and believe that they are the future of our Church. Amen!! Amen!!
